Grand County School District Head Custodian Lydia Barnes is the 2019-20 Employee of the Year for the district. 

Lydia was nominated as Employee of the Year by school staff and chosen by the Grand County Board of Education for “Doing a great job at keeping the facilities up to date and in good working order.”

Grand County High School will be providing weekday in person sessions instructed by Mr. Wells, Mrs. Walker-Irvin, Ms. Graham, Ms. Austin, and Mr. Hampson. Earn credit for classes you've received an incomplete or failing grade in. June 8th-26th, Monday-Friday from 10:30-3:30pm.

Online registration starts on Monday, June 8, for grade levels 1-12. All students need to register every year even if they are a returning student. Registration has not yet been announced for kindergarten, please stay tuned to HMK's website for an update later this month on kindergarten roundup.

Please join us today, June 1st at 3:00 p.m. for the announcing of the GCHS Seniors CTE and Local Scholarship winners and the recognition of scholarships awarded from colleges and universities. We continue to applaud the Class of 2020 for their achievements! Please join us in celebrating our seniors by sharing this announcement!

Due to the end of the traditional school year, buses will no longer be delivering meals to students. The last day of bus service will be Thursday, May 28th. Beginning Monday, June 1, meals will be available to ALL CHILDREN 18 AND UNDER at HMK. A drive-thru service will be set up in the loop at the front of HMK to allow families to pick up their meals while safely remaining in their vehicles. Breakfast and lunch will be served to each child. CHILDREN DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO PICK UP MEALS. Please identify how many children you are requesting meals for when you arrive at HMK.

Due to the suspension of school with the COVID-19 outbreak, we were unable to say thank you and goodbye to a special group - our longtime employees who are leaving us at the end of this year. It is with much appreciation that the Grand County School District would like to offer this special recognition for these retirees. Thank you for your service to our district, your friendship, and the dedication that you have shown toward our students. You will be greatly missed but we wish you a wonderful new beginning with your retirement!
